auto-haas
auto-haas is a Max for Live device that automatically applies the Haas stereo effect in relation to the panning on the track the device is on. This means that when the track is panned to the left, this device will add a slight delay (~2 - 40 ms) to the right side of the track, and vice-versa, giving the audial illusion of space.
The Haas effect by its nature has a detrimental effect if it is summed to mono, so be very careful. Some of the parameters are designed to be useful in handling this downside of the effect.
Parameters -
curve - applies an exponential curve to pan/delay ratio. Above 1 will apply an upward curve and below 1 will apply a downward curve.
amount - changes the maximum amount of delay that can be applied, which would be applied if the track is hard-panned.
Global On - will turn all instances of auto-haas on or off. This is useful for comparing your mix with or without the effect and for bouncing a mono track.
Use Global - with this on, the curve and amount parameters will be synced with all other instances of auto-haas in your project.
Bass Mono - this will selectively apply the haas effect to frequencies above the cutoff frequency.
